Day 2: Something You Love About Yourself

Is it just me, or is this prompt a little vague? Is this something I love about my body, my personality, etc.?

Hmmm....

You know, I think I have to say my sense of humor. Mostly because I make myself laugh on a daily basis. Seriously, I think I'm hilarious - more hilarious than anyone else thinks I am. Often times I'll be driving to or from work and I'll think of something someone said or a look on someone's face or some silly thing that happened and I'll just start cracking up. By myself. In my car. With people in the car next to me wondering what the heck is going on.

But I think I have a knack for laughing things off, finding humor and something to smile about in the small things, making other people laugh, and not taking myself too seriously. I don't know how anyone gets through life without learning how to laugh a lot. I'm all about it. I laugh at most things. I even laugh when I'm really angry (which actually doesn't happen that often). And thankfully, I think it's my sense of humor that shows people all my little quirks (and there are many!) and who I really am... just a silly, normal, and real human being. That's when people warm up to me and see that they can connect with me.

In many ways, it's a redeeming quality since my straight-forwardness and perfectionism seem to be what people typically see first, and trust me, that can make it difficult to make friends.

Some things I think are funny:

Things that are the wrong size. And also the woman's face in this picture.
Jowling.
Accidental facial expressions (that's my little niece being mischievous)
People being goofy. (Above, my Mom, sister, and me trying to do Charlie's Angels in some funny hats my brother brought home from Peru? Below, my little brother Taylor taking the trash/wrappings from inside a gift bag, saying "Oh Andrew you shouldn't have!" and then putting them on his head.)
Laffy Taffy Jokes. My favorite one? "What did one casket say to the other casket?"
Answer: "Is that you coffin'?" Get it? hahahahaha!
Interesting people dynamics, like in the TV show, Modern Family.

I love this. I laughed out loud at the Laffy Taffy joke (Joe and I send them to a friend who hates them all the time, just to be obnoxious).

You are funny. That's one of the things I remember best about actually spending time in your presence - you were always cracking me up.
