(Now that I think of it, I think I don't like Tumblr very much. Going to have to try Posterous or something). Also in that link you will find a sweet video of me shooting a automatic weapon (not a paintball gun) for the first time.
As for the Aunt thing - so, I'm not REALLY an Aunt. I mean, I'm a step-aunt to both my step brother's kids that I get to see less than rarely, but my siblings don't have kids yet. So, what am I talking about? Well, this weekend Chad and I were supposed to go to his parent's house to decorate gingerbread houses. His mom buys one for his for each of his siblings, which means, one for his oldest brother's kids, one for his older brother's kids, one for him, and one for his little sister (11). Well, Chad had to work this weekend unexpectedly, so he couldn't come to decorate. So, his little sister text me on Saturday to personally make sure that I was still going to come:
How do you say no to an invitation like that?
So yesterday I went to Chad's parent's house, sans Chad, and decorated gingerbread houses with his entire family (minus one brother). Here's the house I decorated:

"Okay!" And then as she runs down the stairs, "Brother, come say goodbye to Aunt Raechel!"
I didn't actually hear her say it, but Chad's brother did and he started busting up laughing and then told me what she said. I laughed a little and then for some reason got SO embarrassed! I could feel my face burning which meant I was probably turning red, so I just said, well I'm embarrassed, grabbed my gingerbread house, said thank you, and headed for the door - laughing awkwardly the entire time. Chad's sweet Mom came to walk me out and said, "She's just a kid, she doesn't know any better." To which I replied, "Oh I know." I wasn't upset, on the contrary I was pretty flattered. It's good to know the nieces and nephews have accepted me, right? I don't actually know why I got so embarrassed. Probably because Chad and I haven't even talked about anything serious like that, coupled with the fact that it was in front of his entire family when he wasn't actually there. I dunno.
But like I said, I guess in her mind, I'm an Aunt. And I secretly just want to die with how warm and fuzzy that made me feel.

first of all, that story is super cute. secondly, i am really impressed with your gingerbread house decorating skills- honestly and sincerely. mine always turn out looking much less like a gingerbread house and much more like a gingerbread mess-pile. so yeah- i'm thoroughly impressed.
