Recently some friends and I have been considering crap analogies and whether or not they really work. Basically, when one of us says a crap analogy, another will either verify it or shut it down. Here are some examples of good and bad crap analogies:
"Cute as crap" - not good
"Funny as crap" - depends on the circumstances/context
"Cold as crap" - probably not good usage
"Annoying as crap" - good usage
"stupid as crap" - don't really see how that applies
"Now that crap stinks" - excellent usage
"Loud as crap" - that's just gross
"Comfy as crap" - terrible, terrible usage
So hopefully now I've scarred you and from now on you'll think about the validity of all the crap analogies you hear.
